SHORT BIO

Christian is a multidisciplinary artist driven by the power of the drawing line. His practice embraces intuition, vulnerability, and a "gut reaction," resulting in diverse works spanning drawing, painting, collage, sculpture and new media art. With an unwavering curiosity, he explores the unpredictable nature of creation. Guided by a deep understanding of the universal human experience, Christian's sensitivity to color and shape constructs visual currents that convey narratives from image to image, resonating with viewers on a profound level.

His extensive body of work includes both individual studio practice and collaborative work with the Clayton Brothers that spanned 20 years from 1996-2016. Christian's collaborative pieces have mounted ten solo exhibitions in galleries and museums throughout the US, Europe, and Asia.

As a lecturer, Christian has shared his knowledge and experience nationally, as well as in Europe and Asia. His work can be found in museums and foundations, public, corporate, and private collections around the world, including the Madison Museum of Contemporary Art, Brooklyn Museum, and Saatchi Gallery.

His work has been featured in numerous publications such as Art In America, Juxtapoz Magazine, Flash Art, Hi-Fructose Magazine, The New York Times, Los Angeles Times, Huffington Post, The New Yorker, and RollingStone.
